Joseph Pittman

— Joseph Pittman, a graduate of Fayetteville-Manlius High School, will read from his latest novel, “A Christmas Wish,” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Barnes & Noble in DeWitt.

“A Christmas Wish” is the latest in a series of Linden Corners Novels, which are all set in a fictional town in New York State’s Columbia County, located along the real Route 22 somewhere between the real-life towns of Craryville and Hillsdale. Pittman writes what he knows: he grew up in Upstate New York and earned his degree from SUNY Brockport. He now works in New York City in publishing, but most of his family lives in either Oneida, Syracuse, Fayetteville or Albany, and he visits regularly.

“A Christmas Wish” is a family friendly holidays story about a single father and his adoptive daughter spending their first Christmas together. RT Book Reviews calls it “A wonderful Christmas story of moving on beyond grief and loss.”
