Common Grounds to host family-fun Halloween event

— Looking for a fun family Halloween activity? Common Grounds Incorporated is hosting a fun-filled evening on Friday, Oct. 29, at Eckel Hall on the Cazenovia College campus.

Activities will include a special screening of the Halloween classic “Hocus Pocus,” beginning at 7 p.m. and a costume contest, with some fun surprises along the way. Come dressed in exciting Halloween costumes.

All participants will receive a prize but special prizes will be awarded for the scariest costume, the funniest costume and the best group theme costume. This event is open to all ages. The cost is $3.

Common Grounds Inc. is a non for profit community based group dedicated to promoting social well being for Cazenovia Community members by providing a Community Living Room where residents and guests can gather for casual and organized activities.

They are in need of community volunteers who are interested in promoting and sponsoring community activities such as the “Family Halloween Night.”

Is there an activity you wish existed in Cazenovia? Perhaps an Open Mic Night or a Chess Club?

Community members with the desire to create and organize fun musical, educational or social activities in Cazenovia are encouraged to join this effort.

Contact Common Grounds Inc. at DVanetti@swredev.com if you are interested in volunteering.
