Lysander: Elect Ashbarry Nov. 8

— Norm Ashbarry is running for Lysander Town Council. Norm and his wife have lived in Lysander for 27 years and their children graduated from C.W. Baker High School. Norm recently retired from the New York State Police after 32 years of exemplary service, previous to which he had private business experience.

Due to the current economic scenario and changing local/county revenue sharing, the upcoming years will present some difficult times for our town. Between tax issues, infrastructure concerns and quality of life issues, we need representation that is unbiased, fair, open minded and possesses integrity.

I have personally known Norm for many years and believe that he fits those qualities which we so much need today. With the partisanship that unfortunately has trickled down from the national and state levels, and now to the local level, Norm will present a fresh perspective.

I urge you to vote for Norm Ashbarry as Lysander Town Councilor on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Chris Read is a Baldwinsville resident.
