In support of Tim Lynn for town justice

Letter to the Editor

To the editor:

I write in strong and enthusiastic support of lawyer Tim Lynn for Skaneateles Town Justice.

Tim has the skills, experience and a deep knowledge of our community to make an excellent town justice. Tim is a graduate of Cornell Law School and is a partner at the Syracuse law firm Green & Seifter. He is very active in our community, having served on the Village Board of Trustees and is a past president of the Skaneateles Chamber of Commerce. He is also a youth hockey coach.

While it is not required that our town justice be a lawyer — incumbent Kathy Dell is not a lawyer — I urge you to take Tim’s experience as a lawyer into account when you decide who to vote for. Many communities throughout our state do not have lawyers willing to serve as town justice — this is not the case this year in Skaneateles. Given the complexities of our legal system, and the importance of the justice court to our community, we deserve a town justice who has made the practice of law his life’s work.

Please vote for Tim Lynn on Nov. 8.
