Jamesville man killed in motorcycle accident

— A Jamesville man was pronounced dead yesterday morning at the scene of a two-vehicle accident, Onondaga County Sheriff’s deputies said.

Deputies were called at 9:08 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, to the area of Apulia and West Shore Manor roads in LaFayette. An investigation found that just after 9 a.m. Svitlana Shydlonok, 38, was driving a U.S. Postal delivery truck southbound on Apulia Road and tried to turn left onto West Short Manor Road when his truck was hit by a 2008 Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling northbound on Apulia Road.

The driver of the motorcycle, William Allen Jr., 46, of 3236 Apulia Road, Jamesville, was pronounced dead at the scene by responding EMS personnel.

No tickets have been issued at this time. An investigation is ongoing
