Auburn Well-known historian Thomas J. Craughwell will be in Auburn on Oct. 6 to speak on his newest book, “The Greatest Brigade: How the Irish Brigade Cleared the Way to Victory in the American Civil War.”
Craughwell is the author of numerous books on Catholic issues and history, and American history, including “Saints Behaving Badly,” “Failure of the Presidents” and “Stealing Lincoln’s Body,” the latter of which was made into a History Channel documentary in 2009.
Craughwell will discuss and sign copies of his newest book at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6, at the Auburn Public Theater at 8 Exchange Street.
The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Seymour Library and is part of their annual fundraiser. Tickets are $8 for Friends of the Library members, $10 general public. They are available at Seymour library in Auburn and at Creekside Books & Coffee in Skaneateles.
