— The Third Annual Canoe and Kayak Paddle, a fundraising event for the Joel David Namy Scholarship Fund, was held on Sunday, Sept. 18.

Participants enjoyed a leisurely paddle on Cazenovia Lake followed by a gathering at Lakeside Park.

The fund was created in honor of the late Joel Namy, who passed away while serving as a Cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Recipients of the scholarship exemplify qualities of selflessness and resilience while demonstrating the ability to serve as a role model to the community and Cazenovia High School.
