It may be the holidays but the hunt goes on and Jobseekers Lifeline will be here at 1 p.m. every Thursday, Dec. 1, 8, 22 and 29, to support your efforts.

Name that carol

Come and sing carols, wassails and winter songs with professional pianist Ann Barnes at our Songs of the Season Sing-along at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, featuring old favorites, holiday "Name That Tune" and holiday refreshments.

The gift of attention

When budgets are tight, we’re all looking to show people how much we care with a personal touch - a gift crafted with our own hands. This month we give you several crafty options for doing just that: Pulling Threads meets from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7 and 21, to provide a friendly space for working on personal projects; Local artisan Missy Shipman teaches the art of card making with rubber stamps at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, with registration and $15 materials fee required; Make-a-Basket Workshop returns at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, with instructor Sandee of Cherished Baskets showing you how to make a square basket with rows of curls on the outside (registration and $20 materials fee required); Missy Shipman returns at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, with selected materials for constructing a Thanksgiving or Christmas photo album ($20 materials fee and registration required); Last but hardly least, the In Stitches crew comes together to celebrate the season and their love of crafts at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21.
