Senior singer Rebecca Yaciuk will represent Cazenovia High School in the New York State School Music Association Conference All-State Mixed Chorus, Dec. 4 in the Eastman Theater in Rochester.
Cazenovia Cazenovia High School senior, Rebecca Yaciuk, was recently selected to participate in the New York State School Music Association Conference, slated to take place from Dec. 1 to 4 in Rochester.
She will perform alongside the state’s best vocalists, in the All-State Mixed Chorus.
Yaciuk was chosen, based upon receipt of a perfect score at the Fayetteville-Manlius High School Zone Three Solo Festival, in May.
Students at the festival were scored for their solo performance of a Level Six art song, and their abilities to demonstrate skills in sight-reading.
For her audition, Yaciuk performed Mozart’s “Quando Miro Quel Bel Ciglio.”
The select group of singers, from throughout New York state, will gather together and perform in concert at the Eastman Theater, 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, under the direction of Dr. Paul Rardin of Temple University.
