Cazenovia To the editor:
On behalf of the Cazenovia Area CROP Walk organizing committee, I want to thank the community for its continued support of this annual event.
The goal of the CROP walk is to bring people of many ages and backgrounds together for a common purpose — to raise funds and awareness for the needy both here in Central New York and abroad.
This year’s event raised $7800.
One quarter of the funds raised will be distributed between two Madison County food pantries, CazCares, Inc. and The Mustard Seed.
The remaining funds support relief and development programs operated by Church World Services throughout the world.
I want to offer special thanks to the following groups and merchants for their generous donations and fund-raising efforts: Cazenovia College Equine Ambassadors, Cazenovia High School Girls Cross Country team, Cazenovia Abroad, Cazenovia Candy Shoppe, Cazneovia Animal Hospital, Cazenovia Lumber and Oil, Dunkin Donuts, Flowers on Main Street, Kinney Drugs, Lillie Bean, Lincklaen Shamrocks, Lavender Blue, The Friends of Bill Magee, The Key, Project Café, Vikas Goel, DMD and Thomas Kozlowski, DDS.
Special thanks are also owed to St Peter’s Church, Cazenovia United Methodist Church, First Presbyterian Church, St James Church and CazCares, Inc. for populating this year’s organizing committee and encouraging their member to participate in the walk.
