Cazenovia The Cazenovia Winter Farmers Market will being taking place again this year, the third Saturday of each month in the American Legion Hall, at 26 Chenango St.
Community members are invited to find fresh, locally grown produce, homemade breads, locally grown food products including eggs, butter, produce, meats including beef, pork and lamb, honey, maple syrup, flour and grains, cheese and other dairy products, mushrooms, baked goods, winter wear, handmade items and more.
The first winter market will be held from 10a.m. to 2p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19. The following dates are Dec. 17, Jan. 21, Feb. 18, March 17 and April 21.
Also this season, each market will feature a cooking demonstration from an area chef. From 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Nov. 19, the owner/ chef of The Blue’s Concept in Hamilton, Candi Ramer, will instruct market-goers how to craft a signature dish and offer them samples of her cuisine.
In addition, each market will also feature a free giveaway at noon; many of the farmers attending have donated items for the drawing.
November’s vendors will include: Cazenovia Cut Block, Drover Hill Farm, Creekside Meadows Farm, Fruit of the Fungi, Frost Morning Farm, Full Quiver Farm, G&M Farms, Gianforte Farm, Heamour Farm, Heirloom Meadows Farm, Meadowood Farm, Kriemhild Dairy Farms, Loomis Maple Homestead, Miss Elaineous Gardens and Gifts, Stolzfus Family Farm, You’re Getting Warmer and many more.
