Clarke is proud of campaign, will continue to serve Cazenovia in another way

— To the editor:

I am grateful to have had the opportunity for run for the position of Town Supervisor.

I am convinced that contested elections are best because they offer voters a choice and an opportunity to fully understand the differences between candidates.

It was a worthwhile experience in which I met many people throughout the town and discussed with them matters of concern to their lives in Cazenovia. I learned a great deal from them.

I am proud of my campaign. It was positive, fair and honest focusing on my experience and my perspectives on the present and future of Cazenovia.

Cazenovia will be changing and my hope is that the change will be managed carefully so that the town’s rural and historic character and its critical natural resources are not jeopardized.

I hope you will be involved in the important decision-making process.

Thanks to all of you for your interest and concern for Cazenovia.

I am especially grateful to my wife, children, grandchildren, many friends — here and elsewhere — and the Democratic Committee for their encouragement and support.

I leave the campaign with no regrets, and I will continue to serve Cazenovia in another way.

Tom Clarke
