Colligan relatives thank community for heartfelt show of support

Letter to the editor

— On behalf of my family and myself, we would like to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to all those individuals who put in countless hours planning and preparing this get-together, as well to thank the many friends and customers who took time out of their busy schedules to help us celebrate this special event: You are all wonderful people, and my parents are certainly blessed to have you in their lives! Your generosity, love, and friendship means the world to us.

In closing, I would also like to take a moment to wish my parents many congratulations on my dad’s retirement, as well as the recent celebration of their 40th wedding anniversary:

You have been wonderful role models throughout my life, and I am certainly blessed to be your daughter. And, although there will no longer be a “Colligan” nor a “Son” working in the bays at 117 Albany St., we are all very much looking forward to spending more time together and making memories that will last a lifetime. May God bless you both always!
