Republican Party endorses incumbent Ralph Monforte for supervisor

Letter to the editor

— To the editor:

Two years ago Ralph Monforte, well known in Cazenovia but very new to politics, interviewed before the Cazenovia Republican Committee to ask for our endorsement to run for supervisor.

Ralph was anxious to lead the town under the shared guidelines and beliefs of the Republican Committee and that is to support balanced growth of commercial/ industrial development in concert with residential development both inside and outside of the village to diversify and strengthen the tax base in Cazenovia. Together, we support the town working together with the village to provide necessary infrastructure and services to support a growing tax base.

This includes encouraging and/or relocating businesses to the Route 20 corridor within the town in accordance with the comprehensive plan.

Now, two years later, we can reflect upon the progress and success Ralph has had. He has earned our endorsement once again as he has demonstrated true and open fiscal responsibility, given Cazenovia a strong presence at the county level and actively encouraged bipartisanship in all activities and affairs. The Cazenovia Republican Committee is pleased with Ralph’s commitment and involvement in the orchestration and researching of the town and village resource sharing opportunities to reduce unnecessary costs.

Ralph works endless hours for the betterment of Cazenovia and for you, the taxpayer. Although his schedule is demanding, Ralph is available to discuss and listen to every resident’s concerns.

It is with pleasure the Cazenovia Republican Committee endorses Ralph Monforte again as your candidate for town of Cazenovia supervisor. Take the time to check out his accomplishments and decide for yourself. Please join us and support Ralph on Election Day.

Carol Schoch, Chairman

Cazenovia Republican Committee
