Nelson To the editor:
I am writing this letter to show my strong support for John LaGorga, as he makes his bid to serve the town of Nelson as councilman.
John has been a proud resident of Nelson for the past nine years, and a very active member of the community. Employed by GHD Engineering (formally Stearns & Wheler), John specializes in municipal projects, and as a senior engineer he is regularly involved in the workings of towns, villages, and cities throughout New York state.
The municipal exposure he encounters on a daily basis provides John, and ultimately the town of Nelson residents, with experience unmatched by any other candidate.
His volunteerism within the community runs deep as well. A couple examples that prove his broad involvement; he wears many hats for the Cazenovia Youth Baseball Association, serving as a oard member, fundraiser, and coach.
John is also a very active member of St. Peters Episcopal Church, helping with many of the activities within the Parish. John and his family; wife Susan, son Eli, and daughter Lydia, truly enjoy living in Nelson and I really believe that was the driving force behind his decision to take on the challenges that come with serving the residents of Nelson.
I am confident that John will bring a positive attitude, enthusiasm, a sense of teamwork and most important, an open mind, to the town board. John is a very organized, self-motivated guy and I believe he will assume a pro-active role in taking our community in the right direction.
I hope the residents of the town of Nelson will get out and exercise their right to vote on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
I also hope, like me, they’ll vote John LaGorga for Nelson Town Board.
