Baldwinsville The Baldwinsville Central School District is ranked number 38 in overall academics out of 431 school districts in Upstate New York, according to a new Business First study. Business First, a Buffalo-based business publication, issued the rankings based on an analysis of four years (2007-10) of standardized test data.
The publication also broke the academic rankings down into eight regions. In the Syracuse region, Baldwinsville is rated number eight out of 53 school districts.
Business First issued separate rankings for Upstate districts in four subject areas. Baldwinsville ranks 38 in English and foreign languages, 34 in mathematics, 51 in science, and 45 in social studies.
“The district’s academic success is due to the collaborative efforts of all of the district’s stakeholders – students, parents, instructional and non-instructional staff members, and community members,” said Superintendent Jeanne Dangle. “Everyone truly makes a difference in the lives of our students.”
Business First has issued annual performance ratings for Western New York schools since 1992. The new Upstate ratings encompass 48 New York counties north of the 42nd parallel.
The entire list of Upstate academic rankings is available on the magazine’s website at bizjournals.com.
