Vote for qualified candidates in Lysander

— As a resident and public servant for over 20 years in the Town of Lysander, I have known and worked with Barry Bullis, Claire Rutherford, Norm Ashbarry and Bob Ellis who are running for town offices this November. I believe that they are the best-qualified candidates for many reasons. The current town board, which includes Barry Bullis, has done an exemplary job at keeping our town taxes low and spending to a minimum. As I reviewed the 2012 town budget, I found the board has continued this tradition.

As for Judge Rutherford, my experience is that she always displays honesty, knowledge and fairness on the bench. I have worked with Norm Ashbarry on many occasions and found him to be very dedicated, hardworking and organized. He also displays the utmost integrity and gets things done. Bob Ellis is a lifelong resident of Lysander with proven interest, involvement and dedication to our community and its youth.

As a taxpayer, I'm concerned that the only promise being made by their challengers is to get Barry out of office while offering no solutions or plans for improvement. I encourage everyone to exercise their right to vote on Nov. 8 and vote for Barry Bullis, Claire Rutherford, Norm Ashbarry and Bob Ellis.
