Rowing Club returns from Head of Charles Regatta

The Cazenovia Rowing Club sent three boats to the world-class Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, Massachusetts during the weekend of Oct. 22 and 23.

In the Senior Women’s Masters 4+ category, the team of Mindy Holgate, Jen Moffat, Eleanor Ludwig, Marie Buckley and Laurel Moffat (coxswain) finished 17th out of 24 boats with a time of 23:07.

The Men’s Masters 4+ with the team of Steve Ludwig, David Jureller, Bill Carroll, Steve Davidson and Scott Laffer (coxswain) finished 19th out of 20 boats with a time of 22:03.

Rowing under the West Lake Sculling banner, the mother/daughter team of Linda Moriarty and Karie Balway, respectively claimed an impressive 8th place out of 21 boats in the Senior Women Masters Double category with a time of 22:27.

This was the 47th year for the Head of the Charles Regatta, one of the world’s premiere rowing events.
