J-D girls lacrosse topples ESM again

ESM, pulling out of its three-game skid from earlier in the month, raced to a 6-1 hafltime lead on Fulton and answered the Red Raiders every time it tried to surge late.

Vlassis had a part in nearly all her team's scoring plays, finishing with six goals and three assists. Those passes went to Davis, who scored four times. Toole and Sam Dooling also converted as Megan Legro added two assists. Anderalli joined Dooling and Katie Hall in the assist column.

J-D was forced to play three times in as many days. Right in the middle, the Rams had to go to Chittenango, where it took a 20-13 loss to the Bears.

Most of that damage came in the first half, when J-D fell behind 13-7. All game long, Chittenango star Jenna Barber tormented them, piling up 10 goals and two assists as her teammate, Kaitlin Antelmi, joined in with six goals and one assist.

For its part, the Rams saw Fallon stay hot with five goals and two assists, with Bierwagon managing three goals and one assist. Beville, Cavanaugh, Cariseo, Lauren Swan and Ally Loewy earned one goal apiece.

Despite this crowded stretch, J-D still completed the sweep of ESM to improve to 12-3 as the Spartans, once 10-0, lost for the fourth time in six games.
