Moving to the boys edition of the OHSL Liberty meet, Skaneateles took sixth in the eight-team field with 48 points, but still had standout efforts.
None was better than Tim Lewis going to the pentathlon and amassing 2,382 points to win that event, a full 221 points ahead of Westhill/Ludden's Tim Sheridan.
That included Lewis pulling off a clearance of 5 feet 7 3/4 inches in the high jump - better than the event winner, Marcellus' Nick Stogsdill, who prevailed with 5 feet 6 inches. He also would have finished second in the long jump with his best leap of 18 feet 10 1/2 inches.
Sean Cooper won, too, going through the 110 high hurdles in 15.82 seconds as Westhill/Ludden's Jack Honis (15.86) was a close second.
Taylor Weyneth, sixth in the 110 hurdles, did better in the pole vault, clearing 10 feet 6 inches to take second behind Marcellus' Nick Huss as Carson Schwab (9 feet) was fourth. Nico Petrocci rose to fourth in the long jump (16 feet 11 1/2 inches) as Sam Kriever was fifth in the 800 in 2:08.46.
In the 4x100, Cooper, Spencer Moore, Jimmy Porter and Chris Wise were fourth in 50.77 seconds, and Skaneateles got fifth in the 4x400 and 4x800. Hunter Dickinson got sixth in the discus (97 feet 6 inches), while Corey Knighton got seventh in the shot put.
Both Skaneateles teams come back to Marcellus on May 26 (girls) and 27 (boys) for the Section III Class B championship meets.
