ESM budget passes by 72 percent

Just over 72 percent of East Syracuse Minoa residents approved the $71,801,068 budget for the 2011-12 school year, with 1,049 in favor and 401 opposed.


Voters approved the purchase of school buses not to exceed $300,000 from the 2007 Bus Purchase Reserve Fund

Board of Education

There were two seats open with only one candidate running. Patricia Puma was elected with 1,052 votes and Allison Rumschik won with 180 write-ins. Puma and Rumschik will each serve a four-year term beginning July 1, 2011.
