Skaneateles Lightning Swim Team holds awards banquet

The Skaneateles Lightning Community Youth Swim Team held their swim awards banquet April 8 at the Springside Point in Auburn, where awards were given out by the coaches Chad and Jason McMillan.

+ Rachael Dewitt received the Soderberg Award, given to an older swimmer who displays citizenship, leadership and sportsmanship.

+ Haley Buchholz and Ben Pacquette received the coach's female and male awards

+ Channa Barnes earned the Most Improved Female Award.

+ Charlie Pinckney earned the Most Improved Male Award.

+ Rachel Teixeira received the Highest Point Award for girls for earning the most points during the competitive season.

+ AJ Teixeira received the Highest Point Award award for the boys.

The Skaneateles Lightning Youth swim team consists of boys and girls ranging from age 5 to 18 who live in the Skaneateles and the surrounding towns.
