North Syracuse residents participate in annual Earth Day cleanup

More than 90 local residents helped out by picking up trash along Route 11 and within village parks during the village of North Syracuse's annual Earth Day cleanup, said Teresa Roth, North Syracuse Parks and Recreation director. Nearly .38 tons of garbage were collected during the cleanup, according to the Department of Public Works. Those that participated included Junior Girl Scout Troop 235, Junior Girl Scout Troop 547, Mayor Diane Browning, Deputy Mayor Mark Atkinson, and Legislator Casey Jordan.
