Baldwinsville buildings of notable design

The May Preservation Month Contest, sponsored by McHarrie's Legacy, featured four Baldwinsville landmarks, each designed by a prominent Onondaga County architect.

The buildings and their architects included Baldwinsville Village Hall: Charles E. Colton (Syracuse City Hall, Grant Junior High School); Mohegan Manor: Ward Wellington Ward (Applecrest, Wellington House); Gazette Building: Archimedes Russell (Onondaga County Court House, Crouse College); and First Presbyterian Church: Horatio Nelson White (Gridley Building, Syracuse University Hall of Languages).

While a winning contest entry was not received, you can visit the Museum at the Shacksboro Schoolhouse website (shacksboromuseum.com) to review the contest challenge and link the featured design elements with their respective buildings.
