Letters: Quilt exhibition threads through community galleries

The five are diverse fiber artists whose goal is to promote the art of quilting from traditional to contemporary manifestations through the venues of juried exhibitions. Bonnie's husband Bill worked tirelessly to see that the exhibitions were properly mounted.

I would like to thank them on behalf of Cazenovia, recognizing that many people from here and other places will enjoy these exhibitions over the next six weeks.

Additionally, our gratitude should go to those in charge of the five venues hosting the shows who graciously and enthusiastically embraced the idea, Joe Scala of the Art Park, Don McCrimmon of Cazenovia College, Betsy Kennedy of Cazenovia's library, Barbara Bartlett of Lorenzo, and Norm Parry of the New Woodstock library.

A number of us worked on the exhibitions with the groups, and it was a very enjoyable and rewarding project. Thanks to all.
