Baker students create memories for orphans

Twenty-two art students from Baker High School participated in The Memory Project, a nationwide initiative in which art students create portraits for children living in orphanages around the world so that they may have a personal keepsake from childhood. The Baker students created portraits for children in Peru.

The Memory Project sent the students photos of the children. Working from the photos, the Baker students painted portraits and art teacher Jessica Voigt shipped them to the organization, which then hand-delivered each painting to each child.
