Letters: Gratitude for 500 local Bodley benefit attendees

To the editor:

On Sunday May 22, more than 500 people attended a benefit for Michele Bodley and her family. The benefit was held at the American Legion Post 88 in Cazenovia, and it was organized by friends and family of Michele.

More than 75 beautiful baskets and items were donated to the silent auction by generous members of Cazenovia and the surrounding communities.

Those in attendance were treated to an afternoon of family fun that included shopping at the silent auction, face painting and balloon fun, the entertainment of a ventriloquist and his many "friends", a demonstration by the Zumba group who meet at the American Legion and a delicious chicken barbecue dinner. It was a wonderful afternoon that was enjoyed by all that were in attendance.

Michele, her family and the Michele Bodley Benefit Committee would like to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to all that contributed to making the day both a success and a memorable event for all.

Having the support of so many giving and generous people has given Michele and her family a comfort beyond words.
