B'ville woman celebrates 100th birthday

Carolyn Elizabeth Kraft Borrow, front center, shows her appreciation for her 100th birthday cake at a birthday party held in her honor June 4 at the Jewish Home of Central New York. Mrs. Borrow, who was born May 25, 1911 and lived in Baldwinsville for much of her life, is the matriarch of five generations. Pictured behind her (from left) are granddaughter Kathleen Anne Kolodziejczyk, a former Baldwinsville resident now living in Franklin Park, N.J.; daughter Catherine Elizabeth Barnell, a former Baldwinsville resident now living in The Villages, Fla.; great-granddaughter Laura Elizabeth Kolodziejczyk, a former Baldwinsville resident now living in Syracuse; and great-great-granddaughter Rian Taylor Kolodziejczyk of Syracuse. Three dozen family members and friends from Connecticut, Florida, Missouri, New Jersey, New York and Ohio gathered to honor Mrs. Borrow, a mother of five, grandmother of 11, great-grandmother of 18 and great-great-grandmother of one. She was married to Joseph M. Borrow for 50 years before his death in 1980.
