Marching Bees to hold golf tournament

The Baldwinsville Marching Band will host a golf tournament Sunday July 10 to help raise funds for the band's trip to the Gator Bowl during the upcoming school year.

The tournament begins with a 1 p.m. tee time at Foxfire Golf & Country Club. The cost is $75 per golfer with a captain and crew format. The entry fee includes 18 holes of golf and cart, lunch at the turn, a banquet, door prizes and awards. Golfers must be 21 to register; no student golfers.

The Baldwinsville Marching Band will travel to compete in field and parade competitions and to perform during a half-time show at the Gator Bowl. While in Florida, the marching band and pep band will also perform at the Kennedy Space Center.

"This is a tremendous educational opportunity for our students," said Kelly Cullen, Baldwinsville Marching Band coordinator.

All proceeds from the golf tournament will be used for student travel and performance expenses.

Organizers are also looking for tournament sponsorships for holes, carts, lunch and the banquet. For more information and to register, contact kcullen@bville.org.
