Library Focus: Limited hours at library June 10

June has finally arrived and the heat is on or off depending on the current weather system. The library however, is always on whether you're looking for something to do during the rainy season or an escape from the heat. Drop in to visit this month's art display, sample our wide range of programs or just stock up on books, music and more to use at home. If you have a library card and a pin number there are lots of resources you can take advantage of without even leaving the comfort of your home including: eBooks, audio books, free access to online magazines, newspapers and test tutors and of course our great new music download service Freegal.

People's Choice Award winner displayed

Justine Herman won the People's Choice Award for her photograph Snow Buddies. Justine is the winner of a Cross pen and her photo will be displayed in the YA area during the month of June.

Band together

Help us kick off the summer concert season at 7 p.m. Wednesday June 8 with the big band sounds of B'ville's own Community Band.

Unschooling for adults

Love them or loathe them, computers are almost impossible to avoid these days. Even if you don't have one at home, you can get basic training at our Wired Wednesday classes then use our public access computers to polish your skills. All you need is time, determination and a library card with a pin number. This month's must haves are Moving Files Around June 8, Making Posters with Word June 15, Basic Power Point June 17 and Backing Up Your Computer June 24. These hour and a half introductory classes held at 1:30 p.m. are free, but seating is limited so be sure to call 635-5631 and sign up to reserve your spot.
