The students at Baker HS and the Kiwanis have shown their continued support for Keep the Ball Rolling (KBR) by their increasing their previous year's donation.
This year, the Student Council donated $750 and the Kiwanis donated $500.
"Most of the donations we received this year were provided by organizations and individuals in our community who also contributed last year," said Wendy Burke, president of the Baker High School PTSA. "The KBR committee feels this continued support reflects the value placed on the all-night alcohol/drug-free celebration which takes place immediately following the senior ball."
More than 200 prizes were donated by more than 160 businesses, school groups and community members. The grand prize, a certified used vehicle, was donated by Burdick Automotive BMW, Ford, Lexus and Toyota-Scion Car and was raffled at the end of the event. (Winner to appear in an upcoming edition of the Baldwinsville Messenger.)
Given the success of this year's event, another KBR celebration is already being planned for the Class of 2012.
