B'ville Christmas Bureau bottle and can drive a success

Many thanks are extended to the 13 former students of John O'Neill, former physical education teacher at the Van Buren Elementary School.

Six of the students who are young men and women now helped Mr. O'Neill collect bottles and cans to benefit the Baldwinsville Christmas Bureau on Dec. 4. Thanks to the residents of the Radisson community, Lisa Morrow and a lady from Radisson for contributing bottles and cans and cash donations. On a cold and snowy Saturday, the men and women collected $663 for their efforts. Eight former students need to be included in this total because they went out in their own neighborhoods to collect bottles and cans.

The following six students are: Derek Shepard, Lisa Shepard Morrow with kids Ryan LaPrease, Marie Henwood, Nicole Morrow, Nathan Morrow and Kyle Shepard. The other four who started in the morning of Dec. 4 were Ken Monica, Mike Smith, Tim Holtman and Steve Sloan. The eight former students who helped out in their neighborhoods are: Cindi Phillips Segovis, Bob Fancher, Jeff Kohler, Gloria Monica, Lloyd Hinton, Dan DeLawyer, Barbara (Getman) Derby and Dick Quinn. Sheila Heaton and members of the Baker High School Key Club assisted in the bottle and can drive along with Pete Reynolds, Ann Dennis and Phil and Mary Bender. Many thanks are extended to Yvette and Mike Bishoff and Cub Scout Troop No. 71. Also contributing was Stu Ledwith.
