Village races officially start Feb. 9

Candidates who are considering a run for office in the village of Skaneateles are busy collecting the necessary signatures (50). They have until the end of the business day feb.8 to get those petitions into the village office in order to make it official.

So far, Jim Lanning, Marc Angelillo and Mary Sennett are considering a run for two of the open Trustee seats on the board. Those seats are Angelillo's and Tim Lynn. Martin Hubbard, a village trustee, is also attempting to make a bid for mayor, as is Patti Callahan.

The first time voters will be able to meet all the candidates will be at the Chamber luncheon on Thursday Feb. 10 at noon at the Sherwood Inn. The public is invited to join Chamber member either for lunch and the candidate forum or just the forum, which will start at 1 p.m. Chamber Director Sue Dove said the lunch is $15 all inclusive - and that a reservation is required, call the Chamber at 685-0552.
