Cazenovia The Cazenovia Lions Club is one of the area’s leading service organizations, whose strength is derived from the membership of men and women dedicated to community service.
Currently, the club is seeking to increase its membership in order to be of greater service to the community.
In order to educate and inform area residents interested in joining the organization, the Cazenovia Lions Club will hold a community mixer from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, in the Morgan Room of Hubbard Hall at Cazenovia College.
Those interested in possibly joining the organization are cordially invited to attend. Beer, wine and appetizers will be served. RSVP messages should be received by Cazenovia Lions Club Membership Chairperson Tom Long, at 655-9679, by Monday, Jan. 16.
The Cazenovia Lions Club regularly meets on the first Thursday of each month from September through June. The club’s projects include sight conservation, vision screenings of local youth, the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Fourth of July Fireworks, Student of the Month Awards, scholarships for Cazenovia High School seniors and the annual Motorcycle Ride For Sight.
