Best Bets: John Lerner Band reunites Friday in Baldwinsville

— Atwater-Donnelly will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at May Memorial Unitarian Universalist Society, 3800 East Genesee St., in Syracuse.

The duo’s delightful concerts include old-time gospel songs, a cappella pieces, and dance tunes featuring Appalachian clog dancing, French-Canadian footwork and tap dancing.

Crunch tackle Senators

The Syracuse Crunch continues the 2011-12 American Hockey League season with a home game against the Binghamton Senators at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at the Onondaga County War Memorial at State and Harrison streets, downtown. On New Year’s Eve, the Crunch face off against the Senators at 6:05 p.m. at the Broome County Arena, in Binghamton; (607) 722-7367.

The Crunch is affiliated with the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks, while Binghamton is the top farm club of the Ottawa Senators. Ticket prices for home games range from $14 to $21; 473-4444.

‘Pirates’ romp New Year’s Eve

Evil 18th century British pirates plan to raid the North Pole and kidnap Santa Claus as Bob Greene’s Acme Mystery Theatre Co. presents “Pirates of the Yuletide,” an interactive comedy, at 7 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, Saturday, Dec. 31, and closes Thursday, Jan. 5, at the Spaghetti Warehouse, 689 N. ‘Treasure Trove’ on Ice

A magical medley of tales from the Walt Disney’s animated archives will entertain CNYers when “Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove” at the Onondaga County War Memorial next week.

Show times are 7 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Jan. 4, and 6; 11 a.m. 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7; and at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8. Ticket prices range between $15 and $50; (800) 745-3000. The War Memorial is located downtown at State and Harrison streets.

Skating costumed characters will include Rapunzel and Flynn and your favorite Disney princesses – Tiana, Cinderella, Jasmine, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Mulan and, of course, the one who started it all, Snow White. “Treasure Trove” will overflow with appearances by Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and Capt. Hook, as well as Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter marching with the Queen of Hearts’ Army of Cards.
