— Throughout the year, The Friends of Lorenzo support numerous preservation and educational activities at Lorenzo State Historic Site with a host of creative and energetic fundraisers.

Dianna Slodowitz, chairwoman for the 2011 Mansion Preview Party, organized a festive table service drawing for this year’s “Christmas at Lorenzo,” valued at $1,700, and the lucky winning ticket was purchased by Teresa Marti of New Woodstock.

In support of the organization’s holiday 2011 fundraiser, Oneida.com donated a hardwood silver chest, a stainless service for 12, Austrian crystal wine service for 12 and an array of silver hostess, serving and entertaining pieces.

The accompanying china table settings, water service and table decorations were donated by Slodowitz, who was happy to contribute to a event made special by the donations by Oneida.com and community members.

“During these tough economic times, it has been especially gratifying to see how the community supports Christmas at Lorenzo, and we are very thankful for the generosity of Oneida Ltd. in making our efforts at Lorenzo so successful,” she said.

Incorporated in 1975, The Friends of Lorenzo is a not-for-profit affiliate of Lorenzo State Historic Site and is dedicated to supporting the activities and programs at the site, including Christmas at Lorenzo.
