Police blotter: Five face DWI charges

— At 1:35 a.m. Nov. 14, a vehicle was observed on E. Genesee Street failing to use a designated lane. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as Benjamin R. Gibbs, 28, of 124 Patrick Street, Pulaski. Subsequent investigation revealed alcohol involvement and Gibbs was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI and failure to use designated lane. He was released on his own recognizance and was scheduled to appear in village court on Nov. 30.

At 3 a.m. Nov. 26, a vehicle was observed on E. Genesee Street failing to signal a turn. The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as Cheyenne L. Youngs, 32, of 204 Janet St. Auburn. Youngs was subsequently arrested and charged with DWI and failure to signal a turn. Computer checks showed that her license had 17 suspensions on nine separate dates, which resulted in additional charges of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and unlicensed operator. She was processed and released after posting $100 police bail and was scheduled to appear in village court on Dec. 7.

At 10:28 p.m. Nov. 24, an eligible youthful offender was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI. An officer had stopped to investigate a disabled vehicle on Ellsworth Road and determined that the operator was intoxicated. The youth was processed, released on his own recognizance and was scheduled to appear in village court on Dec. 14.

At 12:12 a.m. Dec. 1, a vehicle was observed passing through a red light and failing to keep right on Tappan Street. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as Jennifer D. Haines, 32, of 208 Wilcox Rd., Fulton. After further investigation, Haines was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI, passed red light and failure to keep right. She was processed, released ROR and was scheduled to appear in village court on Dec. 28.
