Pompey The Sentimental Serenade invites the community to attend their holiday show at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, at Oran Community Church. The Serenade will be joined by Brownie Troop 86 and by young vocalist, Christina Bell. The concert is free, but an offering will be taken to benefit the Oran Community Church Roof Fund.
The Serenade debuted eight years ago and has created two original shows a year ever since. The group of singers, all residents of the Fayetteville-Manlius area, performs for community events, senior centers and retirement communities. In October, they presented “See the USA” as a fundraiser for FM Community Outreach, and in November sang a patriotic medley at the unveiling of the Town of Manlius Hometown Heroes Wall.
This holiday season they performed 18 shows during the first two weeks of December including a performance at the Everson Festival of Trees.
