The Christmas season officially started in Jordan with the arrival of Santa to the lighting of the village Christmas Tree Wednesday, Nov. 30. The tree was by Brown’s 3B Tree Farm of Jordan.
Participants enjoyed caroling and horse drawn carriage rides courtesy of Ron Davis and Leslie Chapman, before heading to the Jordan Bramley Library to enjoy hot cocoa and cookies while listening to the JE Community Band.
The Jordan Historical Museum was decorated for the holidays and showcased many local artifacts. The evening ended with the 2011 Festival of Trees, where decorated trees were awarded to the highest bidders.
