B’ville hockey lights up CNS in season opener

Nine different players score in 10-5 win over Northstars

Steve Schneid, Justin Newman and Mike Schneid each had a goal and two assists, with Brian Burlingame and Luke McCaffery getting one goal and one assist apiece.

Ronnie May and Matt Abbott also converted, with Shane O’Brien contributing two assists. Matt Herman, Morgan Baumler and Dan Strodel got assists, too. Chris Johns played in goal and finished with 24 saves.

B’ville will get to face Liverpool on their newly shared home ice Tuesday before this weekend’s Bobby Conklin Memorial Tournament.

In that tournament, the Bees take on Corcoran in Friday’s opening round at 4:30, with Solvay playing Ithaca at 7:30. The consolation and championship games are Saturday at noon and 3 p.m., respectively.
