Festival of Trees begins Friday at Shoppingtown

— The Everson Museum’s 26th annual Festival of Trees runs for ten days, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., from Friday, Dec. 2 through Dec. 11, at Shoppingtown Mall, DeWitt.

A preview gala kicks off the festival from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1.

The holiday tradition showcases more than 100 uniquely decorated trees, wreaths and holiday displays donated by individuals, businesses and organizations from throughout Central New York. While touring the Festival of Trees, visitors can enjoy music by local school ensembles, holiday decorating workshops, cocoa and coffee.

Every decoration and holiday item on display is available for purchase.

A Ladies Night and Disco party have been added to this year’s festival.

The Ladies Night Happy Holidays Happy Hour will run from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, where guests can enjoy complimentary wine, chocolate and coffee, as well as great shopping opportunities and musical entertainment.

Dasher and Dancers’ Disco will light up the mall from 9 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Dec. 10. The night will feature dance music from the ‘60s to today, provided by DJ Jim Drake, wine, beer and soft drinks at the cash bar, and delicious snacks for purchase.

Admission to the Festival costs $10, or $8 for advance orders at everson.org.
