Caz Garden Club thanks Mark Stinson for service

Letter to the editor

To the editor:

Some of you may not know the name of the person you see diligently watering the hanging baskets, flowers and plantings in and around the village. Certainly, you have seen him — sunglasses and baseball hat on, tunes in his ears, riding on the green tractor pulling the water wagon. And, oh yes, always with a smile and “hello.”

His name is Mark Stinson, a Cazenovia Village Department Public Works employee, who has each summer for several years been in charge, along with his other tasks, of keeping the plants alive and well. We have all enjoyed the results of his conscientious care.

Soon, Mark will be leaving for a military tour of duty in Afghanistan. If you see him watering, usually early in the morning, please thank him for his good work and wish him well.

Thank you, Mark. We will miss you.
