Cazenovia The grapes are growing in preparation for the fall harvest at Owera Vineyards and the anticipation is building for an evening of celebration at the annual Taste of Cazenovia which will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21, under the big tent at Owera Vineyards in Cazenovia.
Come and celebrate our 40th anniversary along, with the beginnings of the new vineyard. Enjoy an enlivening and delightful community evening while sampling area restaurant’s finest delicacies. Participating businesses include: Brae Loch Inn, Cazenovia Candy Shoppe, Cazenovia College, Cazenovia Pizzeria, Circa, Copper Turret, Dave’s Diner, Golden Pheasant Steakhouse, Les Pates et Les Nouilles, Lincklaen House, Nonpareils, and The “20” Restaurant and Steakhouse.
Sample select wines, beer and non-alcoholic beverages provided by: Critz Farms, Dunkin Donuts, Empire Brewing Company, Hosmer Winery, Owera Vineyards and Tri-Valley Beverage. Attendees may purchase Owera wines by the glass throughout the evening and purchase bottles upon leaving the event. Enjoy the ambiance created by East Lake Designs and listen to live music by The Noisy Boys while shopping the silent auction for a little something special offered by area merchants.
Reservations for Taste are $30 per person (over 21, please and casual country attire is appropriate). For an additional $10, guests can reserve a spot for “VIP Taste” from 5:30 to 6 p.m., which includes a personal tour of the vineyard, private tasting, a commemorative glass and admission to Taste of Cazenovia from 6 to 9 p.m.
For 40 years, the community has supported and embraced the mission and work of the Cazenovia Children’s House. Cazenovia Children’s House, a not-for-profit charitable organization, proudly provides quality early care and education to the children of Cazenovia and surrounding areas. The Taste of Cazenovia is the largest fundraiser for the Children’s House and all proceeds support programming and tuition assistance for qualifying families with financial need.
