Thank you for hero’s homecoming

— Cpl. Kyle Schneider’s family would like to extend our deepest appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to the outpouring of support for our fallen hero; we are deeply touched by your continuing show of respect and gracious gratitude.

Though our grief is personal and private, Kyle served his nation, so his sacrifice was for us all and therefore so is our sorrow. We are especially thankful for a hero’s welcome home for Kyle and for all brave men and women who put their lives on the line everyday for our freedom.

We thank all of the organizations, local churches, businesses and each and every one of you who sent cards of sympathy and support, who called us, who stood on the streets with signs and tears in your eyes during Kyle’s homecoming, and to those of you who stood in line for hours during the calling hours at Baker High School, we want you to know that we saw and heard all of you and thank you, you all hold a special place in our hearts. We are deeply touched by your show of respect and gracious gratitude, so many of you stepped in to provide much support when it was critically needed during this time in our family’s deepest, personal grief.

Finally, a special thanks to all the various members of the media who showed us concern and respect for our privacy and represented our beloved Kyle with pride as a cherished member of our community to a grateful nation.

Our most humble and sincere thanks.
