Cast of 'Annie' raises money for local charity

— The cast of “Annie” has been very busy this summer.

The youth have been rehearsing and raising money for The McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy site located in downtown Syracuse. The site's main goals are to provide a safe, child and family friendly environment for child abuse victims and their non-offending family members and to reduce the trauma that abused children face during the investigative and treatment processes.

Cast members have organized a bottle drive and have kept busy making items to sell during intermission between rehearsing scenes for their upcoming production. Additionally, a portion of the ticket sales from their Thursday, Aug. 11 performance will go directly to McMahon/Ryan.

Cast members are very excited to have this opportunity to help other children and welcome support from show goers. Order tickets today by calling 877-4183. Performances for “Annie” will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13, at 1 p.m. Aug. 6 and 3 p.m. Aug. 7 and 14. Tickets are $15 for adults/seniors; $10 for students; and senior tickets for matinees are $10.
