Police blotter: April 27

+ State police arrested Scott E. Wood, 40, of Liverpool, on April 13 after an investigation by the Frauds Bureau of the New York State Insurance Department. Wood, a Nationwide Insurance Company insurance claims representative, is accused of stealing $44,900 that should have been paid as part of an insurance settlement to a St. Lawrence County man whose home was destroyed in a 2009 fire. He is being charged with Wood was charged with third degree grand larceny, and was released pending a May 4 hearing in Town of Dewitt Court. If convicted, h could be sentenced to seven years in prison. The case is being prosecuted by Onondaga County Assistant District Attorney Robert DeMarco.

+ Dillon Tysco, 16, of Palisades Drive in Cicero, was arrested by a State Trooper April 21 at 2:30 a.m. and charged with speeding, reckless driving, passing the red light, marijuana possession, unlawfully fleeing a police officer and driving with a junior drivers' license with more than one passenger under 21.
