The Baldwinsville Police Department will hold a community graffiti cleanup from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday April 30 to coincide with the planned Earth Day cleanups in the village of Baldwinsville.
Focusing on the downtown corridor, the department and volunteers will clean off or paint over unsightly damage caused by vandals. Once complete, local merchants and residents are asked to become more vigilant in observing and reporting suspicious behavior and any new graffiti that appears, said Police Chief Michael Lefancheck.
"This increased publicity of the problem of graffiti will inevitably enhance our visitor's downtown experience and better identify the responsible individuals for future prosecution," he added.
If you or your group are interested in volunteering for this cleanup or making a donation for the purchase of cleaning supplies, contact Lt. Tom LeRoy at 635-6808 or email email@example.com. To report suspicious behavior or new graffiti, call 425-2333.
