Baldwinsville's Memorial Day Proclamation

Mayor Joseph Saraceni, center, presents the annual Memorial Day Proclamation to American Legion Representative Commander Paul Hernandez, left, and VFW Representative Bill Hare during last Thursday's village board meeting. The proclamation states the village will commemorate Memorial Day on the traditional day of remembrance, May 30, which falls on Monday this year. Baldwinsville is one of the few communities that honors veterans on the traditional Memorial Day ordered by General John A. Logan on May 5, 1968. This year's Parade begins at 6 p.m. followed by ceremonies at St. Mary's and Riverview cemeteries.
