Grant seeking orientation for nonprofit organizations

The Liverpool Public Library is hosting a workshop for nonprofit organizations interested in pursuing grants and other funding opportunities at 7 p.m. Wednesday April 20.

Peg Elliott, electronic resources librarian and supervisor from the Nonprofit Resource Center at the Central Library, will teach participants how to search the Foundation Directory Online database produced by the Foundation Center. The foundations listed on the directory award grants to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Normally, the Foundation Directory Online database is a free database that can only be accessed at the Robert P. Kinchen Central Library, 447 South Salina St. in Syracuse, but LPL will have special access for this presentation.

Participants need to register prior to April 20 at LPL.org, by phone at 457-0310 or in person at the library, 310 Tulip St. in Liverpool.
