Geary signs to play tennis at LeMoyne

Jessica Geary, first singles player and captain of the Cicero-North Syracuse varsity girls tennis Team, has signed a national letter of Intent to attend LeMoyne College and continued her tennis career with the Dolphins.

During her high school career, Geary was a member of the varsity team for five years. She qualified for Section III championship play in her sophomore, junior and senior years. As team captain, she was a pivotal leader for the CNS team in the 2010 campaign.

Geary has earned All-CNY Counties League honors for the past two years and was part of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Scholar-Athlete team award throughout her time on the varsity team.

"Geary is the kind of athlete who is a rare blend of a great attitude and a great work ethic," said CNS head coach Steve Cary. "Her own standard of excellence continues to improve her own performance while also lifting the level of play of her fellow teammates.

"She is among the best high school tennis players in Central New York and now has a chance to continue to showcase that talent at Lemoyne College."
